lets Explore our connection to food together.
Amanda & Brian Scott are the founders of 63rd St. Farm, LLC in Boulder, co. They met in 2008 and began their journey of nourishing the community together through a full diet csa. In 2022 they closed down their CSA and began 63rd St. Farmstead Design & Consulting to encourage & assist everyone to grow their own food.
Once they began their journey Amanda took over the farm full time while raising their daughter, Abby. “There is nothing better than having your child wander around the garden and eat everything!” They then quickly realized that they wanted to share this with their community and they began the CSA (community supported agriculture) program.
Their CSA nights on the farm were magical and encouraged their CSA families to be part of the farm each week. They offered wood fired pizzas and live music during their pick ups and highly encouraged dirty children. They raised enough food to feed 350 families for 24 weeks of the year. To do this they had 10 acres of production style vegetables, flowers, & medicinal herbs, while also adding in another 60 acres to raise turkeys, chickens for eggs & meat, pigs, cows, alpacas, pygmy goats, hay, forage, dogs, children and lots of laughs and tears.
Amanda and Brian also have a passion for “Permaculture Design” and showing the community and families how to incorporate regenerative systems of agriculture into their home/business/world. Amanda and Brian both have Permaculture Design Certificates and work the farm through these methods. Together they are able to combine their businesses to help develop other properties for people who want their own permaculture based edible landscapes and hardscapes.

She is an alpaca whisperer extraordinaire. she has a heard of 13 alpacas with a mix of huacaya and suri breeds. she raises them here on 63rd st. farmstead in boulder county and has the fleeces milled less than an hour away in eastern co. Then she sells the skeins as well as finished products on her website.
the moment abby was born she was working on the farm carrying food in her stroller to when she was able to walk hauling food by hand. she has had all of the farming experiences from weeding veggies to harvesting animals. Which are all very important lessons in life.
at age 10 she wanted to begin her own venture and wrote a report on alpacas. next thing you know we ended up with 10 alpacas and grew it from there. she began her very own fiber business - royal fibers.
amanda Scott
farmer / designer/ consultant
Amanda grew up part of her life on a dairy farm in upstate NY. As a teenager she quickly realized she “never wanted to farm” but through the years of growing up found herself drawn to food in many ways and most recently a CSA farmer. She has been in production farming since 2009 in Boulder county at their farm for a csa program. They offered a full diet csa for over 350 families. as well as an onsite farm dinner each week including wood fired pizza. What a night!
In 2022 they decided to say farewell to their csa due to extenuating circumstances. Which was one of the hardest decisions they have ever made.
Beginning a new chapter of farm life she is looking to help the community grow their own food through Farm-Steading!
with all the knowledge of farming, preparing foods, as well as Permaculture Design she is now available to help those who want this goal for themselves through consulting, designing and building farmsteads for all.
